The
Quilt Guild of Metro Detroit was established in 1980
to promote cooperation and interchange of ideas
among those who are engaged or interested in
quilting; to stimulate an interest in quilting; to
promote and advance the art of quilt making; and to
present educational programs and services in the
design and techniques for quiltmaking.

November’s program brings a special
treat. Our annual cookie sharing and quilt
enthusiast E.A. "Liz" Antilla who will share her
love of quilting with us. Liz is a talented quilter
and humorous storyteller from Port Huron, MI. She
will bring a trunk show of her quilts for our
viewing pleasure.

Hope *****
Quilt makers nationwide are reaching out to families
affected by the devastation from hurricane Ike by
offering their love through quilts that they have
made -- what we are calling "Quilts of Hope". Quilts
are being collected by Quilts 'N Kaboodle in Bacliff
and being distributed throughout Galveston County as
they arrive. Your quilt was made by.... wouldn't you
love to have your name here? knowing that you were
making a difference, one quilt at a time?
