Charm Square Exchange   (8" squares)

Participants need to cut 8"squares of two different fabrics that correspond to the monthly theme. Bring enough for the # of participants that month and go home with a stack of new fabrics! I've been participating in the exchange for almost 3 years now and my stack has grown to almost 10 inches high! Remember to sign up at the meetings. Send me your pictures of what you've made with your squares and I'll post it here.

September: Reds (15 signed up)

October: Purples (18 signed up)

November: Blues

2012

January: Greens

February: Yellows

March: Oranges

April: Blacks and/or Whites

May: Same fabric, different color

Calculating fabric requirements:

 

42-44" width of fabric divided by 8" = 5 squares per row

 

For 5 squares, you will need 8" of fabric

For 10 squares, you will need 16" of fabric

For 15 squares, you will need 24" of fabric

For 20 squares, you will need 32" of fabric 

For 25 squares, you will need 40" of fabric

For 30 squares, you will need 48" of fabric
